Exclamation Mission of GC III/7 of Armée de l'air on 13 05 1940

Hello,

I'm looking for information about the mission of the GC III/7 and their
MS 406 above Belgium on the 13 of May 1940.
What were their targets/losses in Belgium that day?

Greetings

Alexander

Alexander,

On May 13, during an afternoon patrol around 15.00 over the Tienen-Namur area, the Moranes of GC III/7 were hit by ground fire while chasing a low flying Hs-126. No 719 of adj Boyer crashed near Attenhoven, while No 200 of Sgt Morlot was written off after return.

Regards,

Pieter

Re: Mission of GC III/7 of Armée de l'air on 13 05 1940

about III/7
N0.791 for MS.406 not 719 of adj.boyer

adj.boyer- sgt/chef morlot- sgt bodin- two pilots of III/2(one HS-126 crashed at landen)

about S/LT rupied, shoot down may 11 by bf.110(parachute jumping) and not may 13(testimony of the pilot which indicates etre jumped only once
the 11 may)

Thanks guys,

Focusfocus, what is your source fo the crash of the Hs 126 of Landen?
Do you have a name of the pilot or number of the aircraft?
I never heard anything about this crash!
Greetings from Belgium

alexander
my source for the crash of the Hs 126 is the book "les victoires de l'aviation francaise" by ARNAUD GILLET
no name of the pilot butrobably one Hs 126 of the 9(H)LG2,OBLT HANS
STAUDERAUS (observer) found dead near the farm of BOLINNE at Eghezée(have fallen outside the plane during the fight) and the plane crashed at Landen 23 km NORD of Eghezée.

the story complicates!!
sgt dennis allen(SQD 3-royal air force) claimed one Hs 126 which crashed near PERWEZ(PERWUS) about 13.00h?
BUT in the same fight, sgt roy wilkinson(also sqd.3) claimed one Hs 126(in fact one Hs 123 of II(S)/LG 2-Fw HANS KNERR and his gunner reported missing)
then:who is responsible of the lost of the Hs 126? the british, the french or both?13.00h or 15h30 that is not clear

regards

I think:no gunner!! in Hs 123:it's possible that Sgt allen fight in the afternoon and no in the same fight that Sgt wilkinson?????
