Walter Schunk, pilot? Bordfunker?
Hello all,
Does the name Walter Schunk (or Schunck) ring a bell to someone? I do not mean Walter Schuck, the wellknown fighter pilot. Walter Schunk must have been at Venlo airfield and we only know of him that he belonged to flying personel of some unit, but not the I./NJG 1. He had a Dutch girlfriend who gave birth to a daughter in December 1944. So Schunk/Schunck has been in Venlo at least to March/April 1944. Unfortunately no other details or whereabouts known. Any help is much appreciated ! Marcel Hogenhuis
