gun camera footage

Hi all

I have contacted a number of families and found a few that have gun camera footage from P47 9th AF ground attacks belonging to their fathers etc.

Does anyone know of a professional reputable company that can protect/save and download this footage to Video or DVD (looking for somewhere in the US and Canada), that would be a great help.

After sixty years would they be watchableand how much does this kind of work/copying cost.

Would like to hear from anyone you has managed to do this.

regards

MS

Just assure that the films are copied by scanning and not by filming projected films. Loss of quality is just too big. Avoid of VHS at all cost.

Re: gun camera footage

Mark,

I've had Super 8 Kodak colour film from the early 50's converted to DVD for the City of Ottawa Archives. It cost around $50 Cdn for the first run, and $10 if you wanted an extra copy.

Re: gun camera footage

Perhaps we can set up a little production run?
