As to question #3, I believe the location to be Salzburg, Austria.
I will confirm the above when I get home.

Many thanks for your answers and leads, Steve; much appreciated. Looking forward for your further news.

Hello Marc,

as for the 152.xxx we have BAL for most a/c from 152.000 to 152.074. Then a gap followed by 152.375 to 152.395. All of them Bf 109 G-10/R6.

The 152.3xx Batch had its BAL very late in March 1945 and I did not find any more information on this birds with one exception: 152.377 was to be delivered from Leipzig Erla-Auslieferungslager to III./JG 300 on 14. April 1945 (Ultra HW5/692).

Thank you Carl,

Some are thinking I'm at least a liar, or at worst a mythomaniac (or the contrary) even when I give your name as source.

Many thanks, Steve, for your thorough answer !

One interesting point Franck alerted us to is the fact presented by Carl we have ALSO this 20 planes in the W.Nr. 152 375 - 152 395 batch; this is a great complement to our background knowledge about latest Erla built G-10/R6's.

Cheers
Marc

CORRECTION: My last sentence should read 152xxx not 155xxx.

Re: Late war Bf 109 pictures source

Hi there, Gang;

This photo is nagging: it rings a bell as I'm under the impression to have seen it already - maybe because of the double white cross painted on the propeller blade base. I just searched for more then one hour this Bf 109 G-14/AS or G-10 through my files, without success... See attachment and original link here:
http://www.tankdestroyer.net/images/...50-500-100.png

Original caption says: "Sgt. Warren J. Allen of Headquarters Company demonstrates his flying and shooting skills. Photo courtesy of Charles Wilts."

Any ideas about this particular machine ?

Thanks in advance.
Marc

Hi there sgeorges4,

There are photos of Bf 109 G-14 in final assembly at Detmold, after 13 April 1945. None I know of is of the G-14/AS variant though.
