Trying to find serial number of P-51 Mustang-325th FG- flown by Frank M. Bolek?
1st Lt. Frank M. Bolek was flying his P-51 on April 19th 1945, Fuselage number #20, when he encountered and shot down an Me-109 over the South end of Lake Garda in Northern Italy.
A member of the 317th FS of the 325th FG, he was stationed with them between 1944 and 1945. The ASN number I have is 0-722214 The plane he was flying was not his normally assigned plane, as this was #25, which was either lost before or after this victory. If at-all posible, I am trying to find the serial numbers of the two planes he flew, the one on the 19th of April #20, and his usual #25. I apologise for the lack of detail, but this is all I have on the pilot. Is this enough information to track down his aircraft serial number? Yours hopefully, MP. |
