Colour pic, strange Luftwaffe plane

Taken in Denmark circa 1941, but what plane is it(on the left)
The tail looks like a He 111.....but the rest ??

History (some bits) ... W.Nr. 1884 He 111 G-3 / V14 (mfd 1936/1937, Tested BMW 132 Dc engines) ff 1937 - Redesignated He 111 L (unoffically by DLH) D-ACBS DLH "Augsburg" 1938 - CE+NX "28" FFS (B) 34 (Copenhagen / Kastrup) 1944 - Stolen at Copenhagen/Kastrup by Danish mechanic, Per Juhl, and flown away but shot down by Swedish AA fire near Viken, North of Helsingborg 06.07.1944 (no injuries)

Hi. Is the CE a unit code??
I have a Me 110 with CE code and cannot find it in my references.
