Kingcome's Spitfire on 26th September 1942 ?

Hello,

While looking at the ORB's of 64,133 and 401 Sqdns for the 26th September 1942 action. I cannot find the serial number for Kingcome's Spitfire.

From 401's ORB,
"Kingcome was late for the briefing and that 64 Sqdns Gaze was to lead in his place. Kingcome then took position as "Red 1" with 401 Sqdn".

Anyone know the serial number of the Spitfire he flew ?

Alex

Additional to the above:
401's ORB spells name as Kingcombe throughout.

Further:
That on page 16 the following are listed -
Blue ......................RED...........................Yellow
F/L G. Murray DFC.... W/C Kingcombe, DFC.... F/L D. Morrison DFM
S/P Z. Zobell........... P/O J. Fiander............. P/O D. Manley
P/O T. Ibbotson....... S/L K.Hodson DFC ........P/O L. Hokan
S/P A. Sinclair ..........S/P W. Laing.............. S/P D. Wright

Whilst on page's in the appendix for 26-9-42 has the following -
Operational - 1605 - 1820 - bomber Escort to Morlaix
BS277 - F/L G B Murray
BS303 - F/S Zobell B.M.
BS104 - P/O Y.k. Ibbotson
BS145 - F/S Sinclair A.L.
BS307 - P/O J.W. Fiander
BS311 - S/F Wright D.A. ( crashed on return- hospitalized ).
BS147 - F/L D.R. Morrison
BS172 - F/L K.L.H. Hodson
BS304 - S/P Laing W.A.
BS433 - P/O D.R. Manley
BS317 - F/L F.R. Grant - 1610-1625 (returned early ?).
BR981 - P/O L.R. Hokan - 1606 - 1755(?) - Bailed out in channel.

Note re Spitfire Production list serial numbers
BS277 -recorded as a 402 Sqdn a/c. This a/c as seen in the above 401 ORB was the a/c also that H.M. Batters (401 Sqdn) was killed in in December 1942.
and
BS433 - recorded as a 402 Sqdn a/c. This a/c also as seen in the above 401 ORB.
