JG3 loss 12 feb 1945?

Friends,

I hope someone can help me out.

I have found information of a loss, the name is not to easy to read, Feldwebel Paul Rowbe? or Rowbl? it looks like he belonged to Sturm JG3, and the crash should have taken place on the 14 feb 1945 at Vorsfelde. If I then try to interpret information, Sturm would then be IV/JG3.

Is there anyone that have any information regarding this loss?

Thank you
Peter

Re: JG3 loss 12 feb 1945?

I do not have anything for the JG 3 on that date. Is this your man, a week later?

FW 190A-8 WNr.175616 of the IV./Erg.JG 1
Fw. Paul Rohe injured 19.Feb. 1945 in Bauchlandung due to engine trouble, east of Ingolstadt.
Reference: Gen.Qu.6.Abt. (microfilm roll #12); Gen.Qu.6.Abt.-BA-MA Signatur RL 2 III/1197, p.130 (recorded as Fw 190B-1 WNr. 171616 per BA-MA Signatur RL 2 III/1199, p.9)

Good luck in your hunt, GRM

Thank you GRM,

I don't think it is him.

First of all, I wrote the wrong date, 14 feb 1945 is tha date and he is noted as "gefallen"

Sorry for my error

GRM

Out of curiosity, why have you changed the WNr 171616 into 175616?
Reason I ask is I can find 171616 but not 175616.

Cheers
Stig

Re: JG3 loss 12 feb 1945?

Hello, all

I have both losses recorded, and the aircraft model is obviously wrong for the record for 171616:

http://www.aviationhistory.no/ref_db...?lossid=101333

I am not totally happy to state that this is the same aircraft and incident as:

http://www.aviationhistory.no/ref_db...?lossid=101785

without further records, as both the date and the WNr is different.

WNr 171616 should exist, right?

While the 175616 is more dubious with regards to the WNr. as I thought that the 175 xxx batch went from 171 000 to 171 300?

What makes it even more interesting is that the record for 175616 refers to the NVM (marked with Vordr.II which refers to this document type) - so there is obviusly little help there...

Regards,
Andreas B
