Captured and unknown Ju 52 prototype

A most interesting Ju 52. Looks like it has a Jumo 211 or 213 installed in the fuselage. "V 216" on the tailfin, Stammkennzeichen possibly ??+IJ, captured at an unknown location. Any info on this one?

Christian

EDIT: I just saw that Ed West already found this and put it in his last photo listing. Must have overlooked it there!

Re: Captured and unknown Ju 52 prototype

Hi Christian,

if you buy the issues April and May 2007 from FLUGZEUG CLASSIC, you'll get the answer. I wrote an a two-part article about the Ju 52 as an engine testbed for Jumo.

Regards
Peter
