NAGr. 13 JaBo Missions

When looking through the pictures of NAGr. 13 at REIBERT.info I found three fotos showing a Fw 190 A with typical NAGr. 13 camo and ETC 4x50kg under the belly armed with bombs. Looks like summer 1944.

Being no expert on Fw 190s I wonder, whether a NAGr did Jabo-operations on the Westfront in summer 1944. Does anybody have some information on this, or is it not NAGr. 13 at all?

Foto from Reibert via Internet

TIA
Carl

Hi Carl,

If we do believe last Axel Urbanke book (emblem of Luftwaffe, Aufklärung ...) the answer should be YES. (some Bf 109 pics)

I've been as surprised as you are.
Regards,
Franck.

I don't have any definite information but perhaps 2./NAGr. 13 was used for anti-submarine patrols off France's Mediterranean coast, as III./SG 4 was in the spring of 1944.

Franck and Nick,
thank you very much. Anti-submarine is quite an option.

It would be either recce or not as with this rack, no chance of photos. Never found positive proof that NAG 13 did Jabo missions though-why should they unless a last ditch effort?
