II./K.G. 55 logbooks

Hello, does anybody happen to have any logbooks of II./K.G. 55 members from summer 1943? I only have Flugbuch Rolf Engelke and copies of WASt documents for the period. I presume there could be some other logbooks out there...

Re: II./K.G. 55 logbooks

Pawel,

I think you should contact Walter Waiss (author of the KG27 unit history)/Traditionsgemeinschaft Boelcke (TGB), they have one of the largest LW Flugbücher collections in the world. At first glance logs like those of Hans Achatz (5./KG55) and Josef Luxenburger (4./6./Stab II./KG55) seem to match your criteria.

Michael Deiml and Fritz Forst possibly, but can't see which Staffel they belonged to.

Regards,

Marcel

Re: II./K.G. 55 logbooks

Hi Marcel, thanks for the hint, I was in contact with Walter for several years and received quite a lot of logbook copies from Archiv Boelcke, mainly excerpts from K.G. 27 but also from other units as well. As far as I remember I already checked the names you kindly mentioned - not certain about Fritz Forst.

kind regards,
Pawel
