Buck Feldman DFC - deceased

Hi guys

I have just learned with sadness of the passing of Seymour 'Buck' Feldman DFC, an American anglophile who served with the RAF and postwar the Israeli Air Force. He was aged 90.

RIP

Brian

Re: Buck Feldman DFC - deceased

One of my friends knew Buck here in Albuquerque,NM and we use to have a RAF group from the local model club where Mr. Feldman came by to couple of the meatings. This was a good 10 years ago.
He had parts from various planes and talked about his RAF days.
One of the guys ask about his Israeli Air Force days and Buck with a smile said "If I tell you I might have to kill you" we all laugh, he said he was kidding but said that is another story then he paused for a while which you knew he went back to that time for a couple of seconds.
Very generous man, didn't seem like he did all those things .
The couple of times I seen him he had that shrug off and I was just doing my job altitude.
Brian,Do you know if he was still here in New Mexico when he passed?
Thanks Rick

Re: Buck Feldman DFC - deceased

Thanks Tom.
I remember now that he and my friend Larry played the Bag Pipes together.
Larry's family has Czechoslovakia roots and Sye gave him some placks with the RAF Czechoslovakia squadron badge.
Didn't know he lived in Albuquerque so long.
