Encyclopédie des avions de chasse français 1939-1942

I am glad and proud to introduce my new book on the French fighters of the early part of WW2.
It includes 22 entries:
- the four major types (Bloch, Curtiss, Dewoitine, Morane) which bore the brunt of the German onslaught,
- minor types which saw limited air action (Arsenal VG.33, Bloch 151, Potez 631, Koolhoven FK.58, Caudron 714...),
- ancien types which were still in first line units at the outbreak of war
- and prototypes which flew before the armistice and would have probably been ordered in series if things had turned up differently.

Their careers are described from the inception (as early as the mid-thirties) to the last flight of the last machine (as late as 1953), as well as the projects that were under study, and also their fate under different flying colours (Croatia, Bulgaria, Germany, Finland, Italy...).

Text in French, 168 pages (A4), hard cover, about 180 photos (some in colour), line drawings (some four views), about 50 colour artwork.
Price: 39,90€ + postage
It can be ordered from the publishers site: www.caraktere.com

Re: Encyclopédie des avions de chasse français 1939-1942

congrats, mr. Ehrengardt, looks good enough enjoyed your last works and looking forwards to this one too
my only concern is if this book will have an english edition like "L'aviation Francais 1939-1942" / "French Aircraft 1939-1942" by Dominique Breffort? if the answer is negative, i don't mind using google translator word by word
and an off-topic question, mr. Ehrengardt. have u any intention to detailedly re-write Armée de l'Air in the battle of france in 1940, order of battle, structure, units, combat crews etc? i have a fat chance to get your Aero Journal Special "L'Aviation Francaise, 10 mai 1940" but alaways have a great interest in topics of french air forces in ww2.
best regards from shanghai

Hello,
No english version is planned, I am sorry.
I am currently working on several other projects on the French Armée de l'Air 1940. Maybe some of them will be of interest to you. Will you keep informed on this very board.
Chris
