research result of Biddenden Crash
Hi All,
This is to let everyone know that persistance pays off. Today I had a phone call from Erl Kean of Wellington NZ,saying that a quirk of fate lead him to me .That a friend reading an article in a magazine saw that Alf Bushnell was trying to trace the relatives of the pilot of a Spitfire he saw shot down in Kent in 1941.He was the nephew of the pilot Sgt Earl Kean RNZAF and was named after him,and born in the same year that his uncle was killed .He crashed at Biddenden Kent ,and I witnessed the shooting down of the Spitfire in 1941 Alf Bushnell W.A. |

Re: research result of Biddenden Crash
Hi Alf
I note in the CWGC web site, Kean's Christian name is Erl not Earl. Cheers Tony |
