25.09.1943, North Italy: Mosquito PR 60 SAAF Sqdn

I am searching information about a Mosquito PR of 60 SAAF Sqdn crashed in North Italy on 25 September 1943, maybe due to mechanical failure. According to the witness, the pilot Captain David J Maree, Service No. 21417V, died in the crash anhoter airman parachuted safely. After the war the remains of the pilot were buried in the Bologna war cemetery.
Does anyone have any details about the aircraft and crew?
Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from someone.

Carlo
