Hello to all,
the cause for my inquiry was that a colleague made a find in the course of an excavation at the Lancasters crashplace. It was a leather flying helmet with an inscription which was difficult to read. It seemed like "MARUS". But now it is solved: The leather helmet belonged to Sgt Hugh MARRS, Mid Upper Gunner onboard the plane. Thank you ! digedag1 |
