INFORMATION ON ME 109 PHOTO, Please

Hi,

The photo at http://www.jagdgeschwader27.com/jagd...er27/foto.html is similar to a ME 109 that I am trying to find some information about.

I would be interested in information of the plane units, location Etc. but also the colours of the identification number and horizontal bar.

Any help would be appreciated.

it`s yellow 8 - Bf109G-4Trop from 6/JG27. The photo was taken around April 1943 in Trapani.

The markings and colour are similar to a photo of a 109 (December 1941) that you helped me with last year.

In my photo the white theatre band is adjacent to the + whereas the normal for JG 27 in 1941 appears to have the band further to the rear with a gap from the +. Looking at the colours in both photos (B & W) I think that both would Yellow. That is mine is Yellow 9.

Apart from the location of the band could I assume that the plane in my photo is yellow 9 - Bf109F-4Trop from 6/JG27. Others have previously identified the plane in my photo as a Bf109F-4Trop .

If so has anyone got information on this plane.
