BF 109 crash due to engine failure in 1944
Hallo!
Due to an engine failure, a BF 109 crashed over our municipality (Dötlingen / Niedersachsen) in 1944. Unfortunately, the exact date is not known. The point of impact was in "Wehe" (north of Dötlingen and approx 20 km south of Oldenburg). The pilot was able to save himself with the parachute and landed in Iserloy (east of Dötlingen). Does anyone know anything about this crash? Regards, Karsten Last edited by Dötlingen 1961; 28th November 2020 at 20:38. |
