Forli, Italy in December 1944

Only 2 RAF there and in Nov. not Dec..

651 Sqn. 29/10/44--16/11/44 and 657 4/11/44--29/11/44 both with Auster AOPs.
A few miles from Forli.

Sounds like the Germans wasted their time bombing Cesena then! (It was hit the same night as Forli was, being close by).

Nick there were important marshalling yards and rail links at Cesena ( they'd been bombed by Twelfth AF and RAF/SAAF earlier in 1944), maybe the German's target.
