Information concerning loss of Leutnant Oswald Lochbrunner - killed August 1941 0ver Moscow

Hi,

Can anyone provide information on the loss of Leutnant Oswald Luchbrunner who was killed on a mission over Moscow in August 1941?

No date is provided on his sterbebild.

There is no other information given except that on his portrait photo he is wearing the EKII.

Thanks

Hi Leo,

Thanks to your information I have been able to find out that Lochbrunner carried out a night attack on the 10/11th August 1941 over Moscow attacking aircraft factories there. The attack was a great success and his aircraft was the only loss.
He was apparently the staffel leader of 1./Kg 100.
His aircraft was lost when it collided with a barrage balloon over the target and it fell into the Moscos river with all aboard lost.

Thanks

Rick
