Hmmm..................
I think this multi-volume encyclopedic compilation was previously done by, (1) Biblio Verlag (Osnabrück) 20 to 25 years ago, and then, (2) on the early Internet by Michael Miller and is almost certainly still available using the "Go-Back" machine. Furthermore, details on all of the German generals and admirals can be found on Axis History Forum (http://forum.axishistory.com/index.php) - go the Dieter Zinke Axis Biographical Research Section that's listed in the menu.
Finally, the Luftwaffe generals can all be found in deZeng/Stankey, Luftwaffe Officer Career Summaries on the www.ww2.dk website.
There have been a number of other published efforts on the same topic over the years, although of lesser completeness and quality.

I suspected as much. However, until the internet achieves a massive, multi-cross-referenced index then many things remain invisible if people are not reminded on a regular basis. That is why the fiction book publishing company I work for produces an update every week. It's one thing to scan your own shelves and quite another for anyone to remember other, related things on the internet.

Re: Generals and Admirals of the Third Reich: For Country or Fuhrer: Volume 1

I have the Biblio Verlag volumes for the Luftwaffe Generals and they take up 3 volumes with just basic appointment and rank details, and each of between 400-600 pages, so I can't imagine there will be many details if they plan to cover over 5,000 examples in 3 volumes unless it is in the same style as the Wolf Keilig book Die Generale Des Heeres.
