Seeking names and positions for the pilots Gruppenstab of I./JG1 duing the Polish Campaign

Hello,

For the EoE Project profiles, we have photos of the aircraft of the entire Gruppenstab of I./JG1 during the period of the Polish Campaign, or within a few weeks of that time. However, other than the Gruppenkommandeur, Maj. Bernhard Woldenga, I need the names of the other members of the unit Stab, and what their positions on the stab were during 1939.

Who can help?

Regards,

Re: Seeking names and positions for the pilots Gruppenstab of I./JG1 duing the Polish Campaign

Hello,

Related to this post, I think that the Gr T.O. during this period was Oblt Erhard Braune. Can anyone confirm this, and confirm what stab symbol his a/c would have carried? We have good photos of <<+, <+, <-+, <I+ from the period Sept-Nov., 1939, but I don't know which of these, if any, would have been Braune's a/c as the T.O. Does anyone know? Who flew the other a/c in the Gruppenstab section? We know that this unit also, by early 1940, was using the Stab symbol <II+, but I've seen no photo evidence for a <o+ Stab symbol in this unit for the unit T.O.
