NVM for Ju 88 S-1 W.Nr. 300494 (I./KG66) 21/22 April 1944

Dear all,

Does anybody have the NVM for Ju 88 S-1 W.Nr. 300494 of I./KG66 which crashed on the night of 21/22 April 1944? I have some questions regarding the spelling of the names of the crew and the aircraft code.

Thanks in advance,

Marcel van Heijkop

Bordfunker Uffz Weber, Walter

and the code Z6+HN.

Thanks Matti and Brian! My losses list is based on a list compiled in the late '70s by I./KG66's former Ia. Although I can see that he used the WaSt for all the losses, unfortunately that did not prevent him from making the occasional spelling error, as in this case...

BTW, while we're at it:
- What's the correct Kennzeichen for Ju 88 S-1 W.Nr. 140598 of 3./KG66, which came down near Krabbendijke in the Netherlands on 29 January 1944? Z6+CL or Z6+EL?
- Is it correct that the Kennzeichen of Ju 88 S-1 W.Nr. 140577 (Stab I./KG66), which crashed near Bilthoven on 21/22 March 1944, is unknown?

Thanks in advance,

Marcel

I have Z6+CK for 140598 and code unknown for 140577.

Thanks again Matti! But I hope you mean "CL" (3./KG66) rather than "CK"(2./KG66) for 140598?...2./KG66 flew the Ju 188 E while the aircraft in question is definitely a Ju 88 S-1 of the mysterious "Hör- und Stör-Staffel (3./KG66)..(The aircraft was positively identified as such when it was recovered by the Royal Netherlands Air Force in July 1983.)

Best regards,

Marcel

Sorry, you are of course right. My fingers seem not fully co-operate with my eyes. In the keyboard "K" is the next to the left of "L". I should read my messages at least twice before sending :-(.

I shouldn't worry too much about it, Matti! For me (and possibly others as well) you're the King of the NVMs!

Thanks for all your unselfish support!

Best regards,

Marcel
