Re: TGr. 30

Hi everyone
The whole Gruppe flew supply missions to the West from Zellhausen until the last week of March, then it split up: 1./TG 30 came to Reichenbach from where they still flew missions to German garrisons in France and the Channel islands. Long after the war relics of He111 could be found on different airfields like Zellhausen, Reichenbach, Kaufbeuren, Schweinfurt, Munich etc.
3./TG 30 (Major Hornung) went to Northern Germany, first to Reinsehlen and then to Rostock-Marienehe, Rerik and Grossenbrode4 for supply missions to Berlin.
At the end of war they arrived Eggebeck with some He111, JU52 and one Ar232. All the machines were scrapped there, except the AR232 which was flown to Farnborough and scrapped two years later.
(s. Kurr Braatz: "Schafsweide, Geschichte des Einsatzhafens Zellhausen').
Best regards
Harry
