Any info on Versuchsverband O.K.L. and Versuchsstelle für Höhenflüge?

Gents,

Anything significant with these units?

The first two are from a flying license:

2 Staffel, Versuchsverband O.K.L.
Versuchsstelle für Höhenflüge

The next two are on an Ausweis for fighter pilots......the written unit is:

II Gruppe, Versuchsverband O.K.L. The signature appears to be Major Wolfgang Heese as Gruppenkommandeur.

However it is stamped:

Verbandsführerschule d. General der Jagdflieger
and bears a facsimile signature of Adolf Galland.

Thanks in advance.

Ian

Hi Ian

http://www.ww2.dk/air/misc/verobdl.html

According to the above source, Versuchsverband O.K.L. was not created until July 1944. I am sure the experts on this forum can give you more information.

best regards,

Jim Geens

There's a book about the Versuchsverband: "On Special Missions" by J. Richard Smith & Eddie J. Creek (Classic, 2003).
