Re: Photo Russian Aircraft
Very interesting Clint
I checked this morning if I had anything on this guy, and all I could up with was he initially worked in France where he designed his "No 1". He moved back to Russia and built two more aircraft, "No 2 and No 3". No photos of any of them, so no idea which one this is. Card seems to be Russian with French text as well. Perhaps No 1??? Re: Photo Russian Aircraft
Hi Stig,
When I originally posted this I did not do a thorough enough google search. The aircraft is the No.2 and the following site has the same photo, albeit cropped and a little information : http://авиа&...-sveshnikov-2/ Possibly you might need to run it through a translation machine, but there's still not a huge amount on this particular machine. However, the site is generally quite good for photos of early Russian aircraft including foreign types. However, I think you can only see the photos in the original Russian rather than through a translation machine. Still to my mind very worth it. Regards, Clint |

Re: Photo Russian Aircraft
Hi Stig,
Adds not a problem personally. Do you use an ad blocker? For anyone else tempted to view the site following Stig's comment about taking a while to get to the good parts, a good starting point is here: http://авиа&...zdushnyj-flot/ Regards, Clint |

Re: Photo Russian Aircraft
Pity so many shots are rather indifferent (to me)
One interesting design, which I cannot place, and name given does not ring any bell either. Do you know what it is and can point me in a good direction? https://www.ebay.com/itm/38042780116...QAAOxyg6pRGImA Cheers Stig |

Re: Photo Russian Aircraft
Well,
I hadn't heard of the machine prior to posting the links. But we are on the internet after all: https://www.alexanderpalace.org/aeri...flyingmen.html Given that I had mentioned the variable quality of the images in my post, you might wish to consider if I require comments about the quote 'indifferent' shots from someone that could, but, doesn't post images themself. If you are able to find consistently high quality images of Russian WW.I aircraft not previously seen please post them. Regards, Clint |
