Battle of Britain Amateur Colour Footage

Back in 2004 or 2005 some rather remarkable footage came to light which was some amateur colour footage shot by a doctor in his back garden during the summer of 1940 and which showed a dogfight taking place overhead. Towards the end of the footage a Hurricane comes roaring past at low level obviously beating it back to base. The footage was shown on telly and I had a copy of this fantastic film which I had stored on a hard drive. Sadly in all the moving country that I've done in the interim, I've lost the bally hard drive and therefore the footage. I was wondering whether any kind soul here might have the footage and be able to furnish me with a copy to replace my hugely missed copy.

Any help would be enormously appreciated and please PM if you can.

Thanks,

Tim

That is indeed about the same footage. Fingers crossed somewhere here also recorded it and can help replace my copy.

It looks like the original film may be held at the University of Brighton but is apparently NOT available on-line for viewing. They do show a few stills from the movie.

This may be a version of the BBC broadcast, but again not viewable online.

There are three episodes of the BBC "Shooting the War" series on YouTube (re-broadcast in the US by PBS) but I don't think these have the dogfight clip. I did not view each in entirety, but skimmed through them. Maybe someone will find them.

That's the film RSwank. It had Stephen Bungay having a bit of a chinwag before the actual footage. I'm really hoping that somewhere here also made a copy of it, fingers crossed anyway!
