Smile A.T.G.

Hello my learned friends,
I have been researching Kolleda Fliegerhorst, Industriehafen, Luftpark and Luftzeugamt (all the designations come from different sources!) and am stuck on what A.T.G. stands for. They built Ju52-3 under license (at Kolleda?) Ju388 and FW190 also at Kolleda.
If anyone has any other information on Kolleda - that is not on the web - I would be very appreciative.
Also if anyone has any information on the Siedlungen built in Kolleda town between 1934 and 1939 that also would be great.
The best thing though would be an aerial photo say 1942 -1944 of the Fliegerhorst and etc as I have yet to find any information of the layout of the base except for in written form, ie De Zeng or Forgotten Airfields.
with my best regards
Rob - it's worth a couple of beers next time your in Australia!

Re: A.T.G.

A.T.G. stands for Allgemeine Transportanlagen-Gesellschaft. In 1934, it was contracted with Junkers to produce aircraft, but its true nature had to be hidden during this early period of German rearmament, so it was designated a "Schattenwerk" or Shadow Work. It first began production of the Junkers W 33 and 34, and the Ju 86D. A temporary order for the Ju 52 3mg3e was issued and expired in December 1937. This was followed by production of the He 111 B and E starting in April 1938. From 1940 till about 1944, the Ju 88 was the primary production aircraft, with the the Ju 188 going into mass production in the summer of 1943. In January 1944, it was renamed the ATG Maschinenbau GmbH Leipzig. In 1944, it began to produce assemblies for the Ju 388, which went into production in July 1944 at a branch in Bernburg. Its final work was producing assemblies for the Me 262 in 1945.
