Bf-109G wrecks

Hey
Maybe someone knows what wrecks are and where this picture was taken?

Re: Bf-109G wrecks

In a nutshell, those are refurbished Bf 109 G-6 found in the Eastern Berlin suburb airfield Adlerhof-Johanistal, photographed by Evgueni Khaldei in May 1945. Khaldei is world renowned for his shot of the Soviet flag hoisted on the Reichstag.

As for the machines he depicted, there are two Erla built Bf 109 G-6 W.Nr 410285 and 412605, two WNF Bf109 G-6 W.Nr. 20584 and W.Nr. 21131. The last identified one is MWG Györ built G-6 W.Nr. 760070.

To my knowledge, there are five photos in this rare set, not only because of the subject but also for its quality. Three can be found on the russiainfoto.ru website.

Cheers
Marc

Re: Bf-109G wrecks

Thank you very much, Marc

They look like they were for JG-3, they have crosses on the fuselage, but the lack of staffel numbers, the belt on the hull looks white, which two are Erla?
