Re: P38 crash Dartmoor 26/01/43 info needed

Hello Jerry,

Re: 43-2369, P-38G-15-LO.
It may well be the one.

But there must have been others that were lost by whatever reason in the South West of England in this time frame ?

I asked some time ago and no result as yet with regard to the P-38 or its pilot recorded on the 6th November 42 from the 27th FS, 1st FG which took off from Portreath for N.Africa but crashed and burnt out at Goonbrea Farm St.Agnes and the pilot got a broken leg .So '2369 could be this one ?
Again from the same website(rafdavidstowmoor.org) -12-1-43, Wreckage of an aircraft washed ashore at Praa Sands bearing makers plate "Lockheed Aircraft Corporation Ltd, Burbank California" may also have been '2369 ?

I assume that 67 MU may well have covered the S.West area so may well have recovered more than one P-38/F4/F5 ?

As an extra;
What of Vogelsong's crash (non fatal take off accident from Predannack) on the 28th February 1943. How many others from the 78th FG were in that flight and did all make their destination , was Foreman in this flight ?

Alex
