Horst Lehrmann, need infos...

Bonjour.

I would like to know infos about Horst Lehrmann. He was Oblt in Spain. It seems he was killed during WWII (dixit Legion Condor of RIES/ RING).

By advance thank you

Thank you Fran.

I don't know if it is the same pilot, but I would like to know at which unit he belonged?

Thank you again.

No idea; seems to be one of those Spain veterans who 'vanished' in the WWII. No records.

Re: Horst Lehrmann, need infos...

Hello,

I've recently received info that confirms that Hptm. Horst Lehrmann was still StaKap of 2./ZG 1 during the French Campaign of 1940. He achieved two victories during that period, a Hurricane on 23.5.40, his first, and a second one, a U/I British fighter on 1.6.40. Does anyone know what happened to Hptm. Lehrmann after I./ZG 1 was broken up in June, 1940? A major part of the unit went on under Hptm. Wolfgang Falck to form part of the evolving night fighter forces, while 1. Staffel became 1./ErprGr210. Although Lehrmann apparently served as Kapitän of 2./ZG1 from the beginning of the Polish Campaign until the end of the FC, he did not continue as a St.Kap in I./NJG1, his position as Kapitän of 2 Staffel being taken over by Oblt Werner Streib. Did Lehrmann join the night fighter establishment at this time, or perhaps take a training unit position? Does anyone know more about this? Did he achieve any further victories through the end of 1940?

Thanx,
