Capt. John W. Gallagher - 436th TCG - 82nd TCS

MACR 15332 deals with the crash of glider CG-4A 43-19797 on 19 Sep 1944 near Kruishoutem, Belgium.
All 15 on board the Waco were killed: pilot F/O Emory Fry (81st TCS) and 14 infantrymen of the 327th GIR, 101st AB Div (names are known).

However, I'm looking for some additional info about the C-47 tug pilot Capt John W. Galllagher, who was in 82nd TCS. His number 0-539921 (may also be 599921, MACR not clear there).

Thanks for any info.

Regards,

Leendert

You may have already found this, click the "See More" halfway down the right side of the page. It appears that this man Rammel was the crew chief for Gallagher.

Indeed, had found this and could open part (not a FB member), but had myself fooled somewhat by looking too much for a Captain Gallagher.... By your answer I realized that his account in the MACR was made much later than day of glider loss and apparently had risen in rank in the meantime.
It gives a good lead, thanks.
