The 4 engined a/c look like Liberators to me. Dunkeswell is near Exeter in Devon and was the home of the US Navy Fleet Air Wing 7. I believe that for a short time before FAW 7 was formed some 8USAAF bomber units were based there to share the anti-submarine load. Steve |

It is FAW 7-it looks like the unit was VB-103

not 100% certain but some of the blitz buildings look a bit like plymouth, where the USN FAW 7 HQ was based. Cheers Jerry |
