Re: Captured German planes, not from eBay
Yes, for the 110. I never met Pitman but the photos have been in my collection for years. They were among my earliest purchases.

Re: Captured German planes, not from eBay
Nothing on WNr. 130503 but STKZ should be BG+LC.
WNr. 130502 was reported with NSGr 2 on 7. April 1945 at Halle-Nietleben (Ultra HW5/691). WNr. 130505 was lost at Prag-Kletzan on 16. April 1945 due to strafing. It was with 3. III/SG 2 and had the code T6+LK. WNr. 130512 did an emergency landing at Münster on 8. June 1943 due to engine trouble. Was with FlÜG 1 and was damaged 30%. Ju 87 with Werknummern from the 130.51x Batch were built at Weser Flugzeugwerke Lemwerder and I have quite a few "Werkflüge" from May 1943. HTH Carl

Re: Captured German planes, not from eBay
Thanks Nick and Charles
Yes it is indeed a pity the scanning is not quite good enough to be certain which one this is. Unless no one objects I have tentatively listed it as 130503. Usually when I do, someone quickly comes forward and give me/us the correct answer.... Cheers Stig |

Re: Captured German planes, not from eBay
Thanks Nick, Charles, Spektor and Col for all your inputs.
@Ju 87 D: I'm pretty sure I saw already photos of that Ju 87 D...just can't remember where. @Ju 88 G-1 W.Nr. 712373; any idea about its location ? Great spot, Col, for He 177 A-3 W.Nr. 332637 "6N+EK", 2./KG 100, photographed at Chateaudun. This is now a settled case. There remains some questions regarding those burnt out our partial hulks of Si 204's from an unknown Blindfliegerschule; https://vaughanpitman.com/2018/01/17...c39e81b8b6/801 This caption says Cablence; I surmise it could be Koblenz, but there is no trace of a Blindfliegerschule there. Two Si 204 burnt out fuselages can be seen, without much details though. https://vaughanpitman.com/2018/01/17...c39e81b8b6/423 The second shot of a Si 204 has been ID-ed by Dénes Bernad as Si 204 D W.Nr. 321202 "TJ+XV". Is its unit and location known ? Could it be Koblenz as well ? Thanks again for all your informations Marc |
