Formatting Problem

Hi Ruy,

I've noticed on my last few posts that they are crushed together. When I write the post and press the carriage return it moves the cursor on to the next line so the message looks formatted correctly but when I submit the post the spacing from the carriage return doesn't show up on the actual post.

I've noticed that a couple of posts by others seem to be crushed together as well but only a few.I'm only experiencing this problem on this forum.

Any ideas?

Regards

Andy Fletcher

Re: Formatting Problem

No idea, could be server problems?

Do you use the advanced editor?

Do you use Microsoft Internet Explorer?

PS. I've edited your post and it works fine.

Re: Formatting Problem

Hi Ruy,

I'm using Microsoft Internet Explorer and I'm not using the advanced editor (as far as I'm aware).

When I've tried to edit my messages I've re-inserted all the spaces but when I re-submit the post it still comes out all bunched together.

I'll use this post as a test.

Regards

Andy Fletcher

Re: Formatting Problem

Please try the Advanced option, see if this cures your problem.

The advanced version provides many standard word processing options as well. I personally dislike the Quick reply option, but I have it enabled to suit all tastes.

Re: Formatting Problem

Hi Ruy,

I had enhanced interface set and selected standard. I also deleted the cookie for the site.

Just edited the above message and it appears to be working. Not sure whether the cookie or the editor setting cured it.

Thanks for the help.

Re: Formatting Problem

Dear Ruy,

The same problem hit me, too. Like Andy, I had the advanced option already. I stuck with that and cleared the cookies, as you had recommended, forcing me to log on again. As I am working now in edit mode to my test post, it appears that either removing the cookies or logging off and logging back on is the key to clearing the problem.

Regards,
Richard
