Air clash on 10.05.40 over Metz
Hi,
on 10.05.40 at 15.25 Fw.Litjens from 4/JG53 claimed one Curtiss s/d over Metz. This was most probably MB-152 which was damaged in this action. I wonder if there is somebody who can provide me with further info concerning the French unit, serial and pilot name? TIA. Regards Robert |

Re: Air clash on 10.05.40 over Metz
Hi Robert,
According to Paul Martin in "Invisibles Vainqueurs", Bloch 152 downed on may 10 1940 was the following : GC 1/8 MB 152 Cpt Adrien Astier downed at Chambley. The plane could destroy a DO17 before being involved in a dog fight with Me109 where its tails was broken. Pilot was KIA. German bomber felt at Mars-la-Tour (54). I hope this could helps. Re: Air clash on 10.05.40 over Metz
Hi Stephane,
I know this and I think he was s/d probably by Olt.W.Lippert some time earlier. I`m searching after damaged or even slightly damaged MB-152 in later clash. TIA Regards Robert |
