Re: Ju 88 G-7s

I wonder where "Ju 88 G-7" had to do with that numbers. Answer DP vs CP is simple Stkz midway turining into Vbkz (aka painter caught in the act) before fully done.
If you hear Horses, do not think Zebras, unless be where they live.

Re: Ju 88 G-7s

Sorry Ed

I don't follow you here
Since the STKZ DP+FN was supposed to be a Ju 52/3m I cannot see how the faulty DP can be a
STKZ turning into a VBKZ?

If Jörn is correct that the real STKZ was in fact CP+FN how does that make DP+FN a STKZ turning onto a VBKZ?

Cheers
Stig

Re: Ju 88 G-7s

Because this W.Nr. 712387 is thought later have +FN as its VbKz. (Maybe was interim D5+FN before possibly becoming 3C+FN in August 1944) as one incomplete Stkz reference in HW 5 suggests this can be, but both first and last assignments do not have concrete tieups. (712387 off strength II/NJG 4 in Sepember 1944 due shot up and one engine u/s) And there were other Ju 88 G-1s with DP+ starting Stkz. and again the W.Nr. be in error. Usually when things do not add up, is because of some error (usually info stated from bad photos) - Enough?

Re: Ju 88 G-7s

I guess so Ed

But aren't you having quite a lot of "maybe, possibly, incomplete and error" here to be entirely satisfactory?

No idea what others think about it, but I can't say I am convinced....at least not yet....

Cheers
Stig

Re: Ju 88 G-7s

I am good with this reply. At least you imogen seems happy with it. But I do have recorded cases of planes flown with half StKz. and half VbKz. (in that order) but maybe the StKz. experts here do not want have such possiblilty trown into their lists.
BUt still no clue to what "G-7" this might have to do with. Clickbait perhaps?
