Hptm Viktor Von Lossberg III/KG 26

Subject officer reassumed command of III/KG 26 in Feb 41. Can anyone confirm the names of his regular crew-I have Oblt Rudi Mohrmann (formerly 8 Staffel), Fw Schuitzlein (?) and Fw Krause. Also, during a mission over UK between Feb-May 41, his He 111 was damaged by Flak and he forced-landed at Le Bourget with one undercarriage leg up-does anyone have a date for this?

Chris, according to photo caption on page 128 of Wakefield's "Pfadfinder" book: "Major Viktor von Lossberg of III./KG26 and his crew at Le Bourget in the spring of 1941. From left to right: Fw Schuitzlein (gunner), Maj von Lossberg, Obltn Mohrmann (observer) and Fw Krause (W/T op)."

Cannot find anything so fast in the book on the incident you mentioned.

Regards,

Marcel

Hi.

The only loss I can find that would fit your story is this one:

http://www.ahs.no/ref_db/lw_loss_pub...?lossid=113380

Second possibility of course that the damage was assessed as under 10%, and thus not reported to GenQu.

Andreas B
