Adriano Baumgartner is on a distinguished road
Unit identity - KG ?? - Russland

I believe this is a well known photograph since I have seen it several times here and there...however I never saw it on books (so far).

Does anyone know the unit involved and the CREW who accomplished this?

Was it KG 1, KG 3, KG 30, KG 51, KG 76 ??

I have seen another shot of the pilot of this sortie...who seems to be an Oberleutnant or Hauptmann...but he had (at the time) no DKiG or RK...so unknown to me at last.

ANY help most welcomed.

A.
