129 Sqn Spitfire - serial number required
Hi guys
I'm seeking the serial number of a 129 Squadron Spitfire that belly-landed near Lydd (Kent) on 21 October 1941. Thanks in advance Cheers Brian |

Possibly: 21-10-1941 No.129 Sqn Spitfire Vb W3893 "NYASALAND IV" Sweep am. Badly damaged. A/c initially Cat E, later repaired. 1375018 F/Sgt (Pilot) Victor Emmanuel TUCKER* RAFVR - Sl. Wounded in action. See:FCL1(rev.)/145. * 4-5-1942 No.129 Sqn. Spitfire Vb BM421 Rodeo pm, Le Havre. 121113 P/O (Pilot) Victor Emmanuel TUCKER RAFVR + Commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial. See:FCL2/30. Tucker also involved in the following incident: 24-5-1941 No.57 OTU Spitfire Ia X4600 "PORTSMOUTH & SOUTHSEA II". Made a heavy landing, u/c collapsed.
