KG 77 18.9.1940

Hi,
9/18/1940 took off to attack London III.Gruppe KG 77. Please, It is known how many machines of this unit participated in this action?
Did the I.and II./ KG 77 planes also take part in this raid?
Thank you very much everyone.
Regards Tony

One of the intelligence reports for the 8 lost from III./KG 77 states that 18 aircraft participated but makes not mention of meeting up with any other aircraft. 6 aircraft from 8 Staffel are listed namely Oblt Heinz Richter, Oblt (Martin?) Schmidt, Ofw Walter Rendel, Oblt Hans-Ludwig Weber, Ofw Werner Semerau, Fw Hans Steier. Looking at the bombs dropped, it couldn't have been much more than 18 aircraft

Hi Chris,
Thank you very much for your information.
If only 18 aircraft flew, then the losses of III./KG 77 were really catastrophic.
Thank you again, best regards Tony
