Feldwebel Kurt Umbreit + 10. Febr. 1945

Hello,
Fw. Umbreit died at this date in Voves/Chartres. This was an french POW-Camp and I think he was one of the airmen held in that camp. I'm sure he was Flugzeugführer, served at one time in Italy.
Is it possible to get more infos about his Geschwader etc.?

Another question: Did the british governemt sent EKM (ID-plate) back to the familly or husband in Germany?
