Do 217 20 Dec 43

A Do 217 E-4 Wk Nr 5434 of Frontreparaturwerk VII Erla which had been damaged in an accident with III./KG 2 16 Feb 43 was shot down by two Spitfires of 411 Sqn "into some houses in Brussels". Anyone have any more information on this like where exactly it crashed

Hi Chris,

The plane crashed at Lisbloemstraat, Ukkel (or in French : rue des glaïeuls, Uccle). The original source of this information was not yet found.

in BA-MA RL 2-III/1186 page 119 45% damage belly landing.

The header suggest that it fly to 20 Dec 43 is there more info about that ?

It was repaired if the Wk Nr is correct an the organisation flying it was responsible for the repair

Were there any casualties on the ground? I only have an Uffz Franz Wallner (BF) wounded but Returns say one civilian killed, one wounded
