The missing air crew report number is 9951. I don't have the report, but have read that he disappeared at about the time of the rendezvous with the bombers, whenever or wherever that was!

Re: P-51C-10NT Ser.No.42-103951 loss on November 20th 1944
Hello,
Hope you all enjoyed a great Christmas. This a/c did not make it out of Germany. MACR states last seen in unpowered glide and pilot was not seen to bale. 9 miles North East of Malacky, Germany. MACR is three pages, includes map of area where last seen marked with "X". KU Report for November 44 has several "Mustangs" for the 20th. All for now Alex |

Isn't Malacky in Western Slovakia near the Austrian border?
