Bad luck for G2+BH
The one Staffel Fernaufklarungsgruppe 1(F)124 has been under my mikroscope for some time. It started when I wanted to know about clandistine operations connected to Kommando (F) Rowehl operations in service of the Abwher and Canaris using old Lufthansa pilots in service of Deautshe Luftbild, still in operation today. G2+ aircraft together with D- marked registration was used in the most dubious manner. The Junkers Production details give some hints as to what was hapening during the war time. Out of all the numbers the G2+BH has to be the last thing one would have on one´s aircraft. Once the first G2+BH hits the ground it is replaced with a new one. It started with one DO17P-1, that thing hit the ground. A DO215B-4 took over until that thing hit the ground. With a new Ju 88 A5, (W690) the era of bad luck starts. That thing hit the ground and on its goes, W-1379, W-130045. W-140556. W-430292. W-430434. W-430867. All together 9 times. If that is not bad luck what is.? The G2+BH was 9 times down out of 33 aircrafts hitting the O. hour, in the name of 1 (F) 124. Has any one of you any info on the 1 (F) 124 or can point me to info on the strange opertaion of this unit.
Thanks.
