Re: Photos Beuteflugzeuge

Hello,

Currently on ebay are photos of the following italian aircraft in Luftwaffe markings:

IMAM Ro 41

https://www.ebay.de/itm/284525112929...wAAOSw62xhjTVy

Nardi FN 305

https://www.ebay.de/itm/275023568457...wAAOSwsldhjTPj

I'm wondering if the Ro 41 full Stkz may be GP+HG and the unit FFS A 42?

Regards,

Clint

Re: Photos Beuteflugzeuge

Hello,

Currently on ebay is an unusually painted parasol monoplane at:

https://www.ebay.de/itm/115095191558...MAAOSwGtBhkS0R

Its a Dewoitine D.376 I believe, I'm just wondering why the unusual paint job?

Doing an image search more D.373/376 decoys (?) can be seen here:

https://www.histaviation.com/dewoitine_d_376.html

Re: Photos Beuteflugzeuge

Hello,

Currently on ebay is a photo of Savoia Marchetti SM.75 D-ATAD at:

https://www.ebay.de/itm/115100802461...8AAOSw9Q1hlmji

Histaviation has this machine as serving with Ergänzungs-Transportgeschwader Luftflotte 14. Does anyone know what Verbandskennzeichen it carried at that time?

Regards,

Clint

Re: Photos Beuteflugzeuge

Hello,

Currently on delcampe are two photos of a Romanian Polikarpov I-16 at:

https://www.delcampe.net/fr/collecti...392360748.html

I'm not sure if this is the later 'white 1' at and earlier stage of its repainting. The aircraft in the photo is captioned as being in the Crimea, while Denes Bernad in Rumanian Air Force The Prime Decade has 'white 1' as captured in Dorohoi, Northern Moldovia. So it may I suppose be a different machine.Hopefully these photos are not already overly familiar. The seller doesn't state they are repros but who knows.

Regards,

Clint

Re: Photos Beuteflugzeuge

Hello,

Currently on ebay are two interesting (?) photos:

https://www.ebay.de/itm/275056916745...kAAOSwkP9hsMpA

https://www.ebay.de/itm/275056915725...EAAOSwt-RhsMmu

I'm pretty sure the first is a Luftwaffe Polikarpov U-2.But the second?

Regards,

Clint

Re: Photos Beuteflugzeuge

Clint - You are correct with the 1st photo as being a Russian Po-2 but the 2nd is a Bu 131 disguised to look like an earlier era aircraft with a fake painted radiator in front of the prop

Re: Photos Beuteflugzeuge

Hi Tom,

Thanks for the response and the confirmation on the Polikarpov and correct id of the Bücker. I was totally thrown by the bogus front end. I assume the second photo is from a movie of some kind.

Regards,

Clint

Re: Photos Beuteflugzeuge

Thanks Clint
I think the German WWI movie was D III 88 made in 1939. The Bu 131s were made to look like French fighters.
