Hans-Ulrich Rudel - 20 March 1944 and 19 August 1944

Hello

Major Hans-Ulrich Rudel, Gruppenkommandeur of III./SG 2, was nearly captured on 20 March 1944 after landing his aircraft to pick up a downed aircrew. His long time Bordschütze Oberfeldwebel Erwin Hentschel drowned while attempting to swim across the Dnieper River that day. Is the usual loss list information known about this incident? Futhermore, he was shot down by Flak in the Ērgļi area and both he and his Bordschütze Oberstabsarzt Ernst Gadermann were wounded on 19 August 1944. He was serving as Geschwaderkommodore of SG 2 at the time. Is the loss list information of this incident known as well?

Horrido!

Leo
