Bf 109 E-4 Hpt. Wilhelm Balthasar

Hello, I found quite a few photos of Bf 109 E-4 Wilhelm Balthasar (W.Nr. 1559), but only the port side. Does anyone have a photo of the starboard side of this aircraft? Of particular interest is the location of the victory marks on the keel and the group emblem. Are they on the starboard side?
Thanks in advance!

Planes not only used by Balthasar, nd at least oesau, used the bars at the good side

I would be extremely interested in seeing any 109E's from the III. Gruppe, especially those of Balthasar, Achleitner, Wessling, Schentke, von Boremski, Stechmann and Ochs.

Hopefully this ex-eBay auction image will help.

Thanks Chris. My uncle apparently had yellow 13, although I suspect he also used Achleitner's. I have found one image of Luetzow with yellow 13 in the background, but that's it so far.

Re: Bf 109 E-4 Hpt. Wilhelm Balthasar

Nearly always victory bars were on the port side(left side) sometimes the starboard side(right side) recorded other claims like tanks and ships i.e Hans Dammers is a good example. I guess it stems from mounting the aircraft from the port side as was essential in the case of the Bf109.

Regards

Johannes
