Re: Late war Bf 109 pictures source
Hi there Gang,
Thanks to Sinisa Sestanovic over on Messerschmitt Bf 109 - years 1935 to 1945 and beyond Group, FB, those two out of the common photos showing a factory fresh Bf 109 G-12 belly-landed, possibly on a frozen Elbe arm during Winter 1944-1945. https://www.ebay.de/itm/313530612437...QAAOSw-a1gn~49 https://www.ebay.de/itm/313530612634...UAAOSwq~xgn~6J The camouflage pattern with the tell-tale wide and white only fuselage Balkenkreuz speaks for one of the Bf 109 G-12 produced by Blohm & Voss at their Wenzendorf factory, 30 kilometres south of Hamburg. The lack of tactical marking might indicate a test flight or even a BAL flight abruptly interrupted. I of course stand corrected. Cheers Marc |
