me 109 shoot down over strasbourg

read book by col. bud johnson. flying p-51 shot down 2 me 109's.
does anyone know who the german pilot's were. this happened on may 27
1944.

this should read as capt. c.e. "bud" anderson flying a p-51 escort duty to ludwigshaven.
he wrote a book (to fly and fight) about this air duel over strasbourg france.

I have 50+ 109s lost on that date for various reasons. Do you have locations or any other information?

Hi BB,

I have one, for that date, that place; doesn't mean it's one of the two you're talking about. Whatever:
Bf109G-6, 412292, 6./JG 27, Gelbe 3, von Buddenbrock, Fritz-Joachim. Lt.
Franck.

i made a mistake in the pilots name flying the p-51 mustang. it would be
capt. c.e. (bud) anderson. he was flying escort for b-17 to ludwigshaven
when his group encountered 4 me 109's over strasbourg. taking this incedent from his book "to fly and fight"

thank you for your response

i made a mistake in saying the allied pilots name. it should have been
capt. c.e. "bud" anderson. he was flying escort for b-17 to ludwigshaven
when his group encountered 4 me 109's shot 2 down. in his book
"to fly and fight" he described in detail the outcome.

thank you for your response
